This sculptural pair of 1950s French table lamps brings together classical form and natural materiality. Tall and architectural, their columnar silhouette nods to neoclassical design with echoes of Hollywood Regency and French Art Deco. The result is both refined and quietly commanding.
Each lamp is carved from solid green onyx, revealing a layered palette of soft green, cream, terra cotta, and amber veining. The stone’s natural translucency gives it depth and warmth—especially when lit—highlighting the complexity within each piece. No two sides are the same; each lamp reads like a landscape in stone.
Topped with neutral linen drum shades, the composition balances polish and texture, structure and softness. The proportions feel timeless, equally at home in richly layered interiors or pared-back modern spaces.
Their presence recalls the stonework of Marbro and Frederick Cooper, while standing apart with their distinctly French point of view. Elegant, rare, and deeply considered—these are lamps that do more than light a room.
CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition with original wiring intact and fully functional. Onyx bases maintain their original polished finish with light wear consistent with age. A few small nicks and one subtle chip blend into the natural veining and do not detract from their overall presence.
DIMENSIONS:
WITH SHADE: 15” W X 15” D X 33" TALL
WITHOUT SHADE: 5” W X 5” D X 27" TALL (height measured to the light bulb)

Scattered Galeries partners with trusted third-party delivery providers to facilitate White Glove Delivery services within the contiguous 48 states. All shipments are handled independently by third-party providers.
The White Glove Delivery Service includes careful transport and in-home placement of furniture. The delivery team will bring the item into the preferred room, unpack it, place it as directed, and remove all packaging materials.
Orders typically ship within 3-6 weeks, though in rare cases, it may take up to 8 weeks to coordinate delivery. A notification will be sent once the item has shipped. This shipping process is designed to accommodate the specialized handling required for vintage and specialty pieces, which is why third-party furniture shippers are used instead of standard carriers like UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
Once the shipper is ready to schedule delivery, they will contact the recipient directly to arrange a date and time frame. Rural deliveries may require additional scheduling time due to limited routes. To prepare for delivery, a clear path should be ensured to the designated room, as the delivery team cannot move or rearrange existing furniture. A signature will be required upon receipt. If the delivery location presents any challenges—such as tight stairways, narrow hallways, or additional obstacles—there may be additional fees.
For details on delivery timelines, potential additional fees, and how to prepare for delivery, please refer to the Shipping Policy or contact support with any questions.
