Attributed to Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik, this 1960s Danish lounge chair is all about quiet confidence. The angular A-frame silhouette gives it structure; the soft curves and careful joinery give it charm. It’s measured, balanced — the kind of design that doesn’t need to raise its voice.

Tapered legs and curved stretchers bring a gentle sense of movement, while the golden-yellow cushions add just enough boldness to keep things interesting. The frame, in solid wood, shows the kind of restraint that makes you look twice — not because it’s trying too hard, but because it isn’t.

Though unsigned, the proportions, materials, and overall feel line up closely with known works by Lyngfeldt Larsen. It’s got the posture, the tone, the attitude — very much in line with the Danish modern mindset: thoughtful, functional, and completely unbothered.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition. The wood has a smooth, even patina; the frame is solid and sound. Upholstery is clean and vibrant. No restorations, no drama — just decades of good living.

DIMENSIONS:

21.65" W X 28.35" D X 27.17" TALL

SEAT HEIGHT: 14.18" TALL

Ships via White Glove Delivery

Scattered Galeries partners with trusted third-party delivery providers to facilitate White Glove Delivery services within the contiguous 48 states. All shipments are handled independently by third-party providers.

The White Glove Delivery Service includes careful transport and in-home placement of furniture. The delivery team will bring the item into the preferred room, unpack it, place it as directed, and remove all packaging materials.

Orders typically ship within 3-6 weeks, though in rare cases, it may take up to 8 weeks to coordinate delivery. A notification will be sent once the item has shipped. This shipping process is designed to accommodate the specialized handling required for vintage and specialty pieces, which is why third-party furniture shippers are used instead of standard carriers like UPS, USPS, or FedEx.

Once the shipper is ready to schedule delivery, they will contact the recipient directly to arrange a date and time frame. Rural deliveries may require additional scheduling time due to limited routes. To prepare for delivery, a clear path should be ensured to the designated room, as the delivery team cannot move or rearrange existing furniture. A signature will be required upon receipt. If the delivery location presents any challenges—such as tight stairways, narrow hallways, or additional obstacles—there may be additional fees.

For details on delivery timelines, potential additional fees, and how to prepare for delivery, please refer to the Shipping Policy or contact support with any questions.
