A sculptural expression of postmodern elegance, this tessellated Mactan stone mirror is attributed to Maitland-Smith—renowned for their bold use of exotic materials and refined architectural forms. Crafted in the 1980s, the piece embodies the brand’s signature fusion of Art Deco glamour and neoclassical symmetry, paired with a distinctly postmodern sensibility.
Handmade from fossilized coral limestone quarried in the Philippines, the stone’s surface reveals subtle embedded fossils—natural imprints that make each piece unique. The meticulously tessellated stone segments form a geometric frame that feels at once structured and organic.
Brass inlays introduce a gentle sheen, offering contrast to the stone’s soft, sandy tones. A beveled mirror completes the composition, enhancing depth and playing with light—adding just the right level of refinement to its sculptural form.
This mirror blends easily into a range of interiors—from traditional and grand millennial to modern and collected spaces. It’s more than reflective surface; it’s a quiet study in material, form, and craftsmanship.

Ships via White Glove Delivery
Scattered Galeries partners with trusted third-party delivery providers to facilitate White Glove Delivery services within the contiguous 48 states. All shipments are handled independently by third-party providers.
The White Glove Delivery Service includes careful transport and in-home placement of furniture. The delivery team will bring the item into the preferred room, unpack it, place it as directed, and remove all packaging materials.
Orders typically ship within 3-6 weeks, though in rare cases, it may take up to 8 weeks to coordinate delivery. A notification will be sent once the item has shipped. This shipping process is designed to accommodate the specialized handling required for vintage and specialty pieces, which is why third-party furniture shippers are used instead of standard carriers like UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
Once the shipper is ready to schedule delivery, they will contact the recipient directly to arrange a date and time frame. Rural deliveries may require additional scheduling time due to limited routes. To prepare for delivery, a clear path should be ensured to the designated room, as the delivery team cannot move or rearrange existing furniture. A signature will be required upon receipt. If the delivery location presents any challenges—such as tight stairways, narrow hallways, or additional obstacles—there may be additional fees.
For details on delivery timelines, potential additional fees, and how to prepare for delivery, please refer to the Shipping Policy or contact support with any questions.
