Bold, sculptural, and quietly playful, this rare 1980s cactus floor lamp turns lighting into a design moment. With its matte champagne finish, glowing orb lights, and structured silhouette, it captures the spirit of postmodernism with a surprising sense of restraint.

The cactus motif—a favorite among avant-garde designers of the era—bridges nature and geometry with a distinctly architectural edge. Echoes of Peter Shire, Martine Bedin, and Memphis Milano design run throughout, though this piece takes a more refined approach. The square brass base anchors the form, adding warmth and contrast beneath the cooler tones above.

Subtle design details like the three-way switch and softly rounded lines give it everyday functionality without compromising presence. It’s a rare blend: sculptural and usable, whimsical and composed.

Well-suited for eclectic, modern, or Palm Springs-inspired spaces, this lamp brings a dose of character wherever it lands—whether in a conversation corner, an artist’s loft, or a room with views and opinions.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition. Light wear to the frame and some patina on the brass base—nothing that distracts, everything in character. The original wiring is intact and the three-way switch functions as intended.

DIMENSIONS:

27" W X 11.75" D X 73" TALL

Ships via White Glove Delivery

Scattered Galeries partners with trusted third-party delivery providers to facilitate White Glove Delivery services within the contiguous 48 states. All shipments are handled independently by third-party providers.

The White Glove Delivery Service includes careful transport and in-home placement of furniture. The delivery team will bring the item into the preferred room, unpack it, place it as directed, and remove all packaging materials.

Orders typically ship within 3-6 weeks, though in rare cases, it may take up to 8 weeks to coordinate delivery. A notification will be sent once the item has shipped. This shipping process is designed to accommodate the specialized handling required for vintage and specialty pieces, which is why third-party furniture shippers are used instead of standard carriers like UPS, USPS, or FedEx.

Once the shipper is ready to schedule delivery, they will contact the recipient directly to arrange a date and time frame. Rural deliveries may require additional scheduling time due to limited routes. To prepare for delivery, a clear path should be ensured to the designated room, as the delivery team cannot move or rearrange existing furniture. A signature will be required upon receipt. If the delivery location presents any challenges—such as tight stairways, narrow hallways, or additional obstacles—there may be additional fees.

For details on delivery timelines, potential additional fees, and how to prepare for delivery, please refer to the Shipping Policy or contact support with any questions.
